To celebrate 30 years of gaming history, Sony has revealed a Limited Edition 30th Anniversary PS5 model, designed to evoke nostalgia for the original PlayStation. This special edition console showcases the classic grey color scheme of the PS1, with intricate “30” microtexture detailing alongside the familiar PlayStation symbols. The limited edition PS5 Pro and PS5 Digital Edition are set to be the centerpiece of the celebration.
Limited Edition PS5 Pro and Accessories
The PS5 Pro 30th Anniversary Edition bundle comes loaded with a 2TB SSD, Wi-Fi 7, and exclusive accessories like a DualSense wireless controller, a DualSense Edge controller, and a vertical stand. The bundle also includes a collector’s set featuring unique items such as PlayStation-shaped cable ties, an original PlayStation controller-style cable housing, and a limited-edition poster. Priced at approximately $700, the PS5 Pro is expected to sell out quickly, with only 12,300 units available worldwide.

The 30th Anniversary PS5 models are a nod to Sony’s long-standing legacy, bridging the past with present-day innovations. The consoles and accessories sport the iconic PS1 grey, and Sony has even updated its microtexture design with the number “30” alongside the PlayStation shapes.
